Southern Living magazine has picked Senoia, Georgia as the site of its 2012 Idea House. This is the second time the little Georgia town, found 32 miles south of Atlanta, has been the Idea House area. Senoia was the site of the 2010 Southern Living Idea House. The 2012 home is inside the town’s architecturally significant area.
Southern Living’s most up to date Idea House is unordinary in that it’s anything but another development, however a reclamation of a 1830s farmhouse. This is the first run through the magazine has redesigned a memorable home as its Idea House. Southern Living worked with modelers from Historical Concepts, an Atlanta based firm, to safeguard the house and update it for current living.
